As part of our ongoing drive to engage our users and be an active part of the sales community, the marketing minds at Bravado came up with The Sales Hat™, a simple baseball cap emblazoned with the mother of all inside sales jokes that became an icon in the tech sales community. As a fun way to drive user engagement and promote the company, we gave away Sales Hats as prizes and even created thesaleshat.com, where community members could go and purchase their very own Sales Hat for colleagues, clients, or themselves.
As a part of the Sales Hat awareness campaign, we launched a series of digital ads featuring community members showing off their Sales Hats. Since the entire concept was largely tongue-in-cheek, I designed the ads with to have an overly-trendy club aesthetic with heavy user of gradient lighting in the photography and spare use of copy, keeping the spotlight on the real star – the Sales Hat™.
